The Multistrada V4 unleashes its sporty character with Akrapovic accessories

The Multistrada V4 is the bike from the Ducati range designed to dominate all roads. An ambitious project in which performance and sportiness are combined with unprecedented ride comfort and versatility of use that allows the bike to be effective in all riding conditions.
The Multistrada V4 is “Sport” because it is light and compact, has electronic MotoGP aids and a chassis with agile dimensions for an exciting and effective ride in mixed terrain. It is “Touring” thanks to the main maintenance intervals set every 60,000 km, the great attention paid in the development phase to ride comfort, its Radar systems, the map navigator that can be viewed on the dashboard and to the cornering lights. It is “Enduro” thanks to excellent off-road capabilities, electronic suspension, smooth power delivery and gear ratios. It is “Urban” because it guarantees great ease of use at low speeds, but also thanks to its smartphone connectivity and the careful study of thermal comfort.
To further enhance the sporty side of the new Multistrada V4, Ducati has collaborated with Akrapovic in the creation of two co-branded accessories: a racing-derived exhaust unit and an approved silencer. Both components are dedicated exclusively to this model and have a unique design that fits perfectly with the motorcycle.

The racing exhaust unit is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a silencer with titanium outer sleeve and carbon fibre end cap, for a combination of lightness and design that integrates perfectly with the lines of the new Multistrada V4. The materials are combined with the supplied dedicated mapping, which adjusts all the electronic parameters of the bike to the new performance. By mounting the Akrapovic racing exhaust unit the weight of the Multistrada V4 goes down of 5 kg, while maximum torque reaches 133 Nm and power 174 hp.
The type approved silencer made by Ducati and Akrapovic for the Multistrada V4 gives the bike a more aggressive character. The body made from special developed high grade titanium alloy and carbon fibre cap guarantee lightness and resistance to high temperatures and, combined with the honeycomb mesh in the end cap, give an even more unmistakable look. The type approved silencer is 0.7 kg lighter than the standard, thus improving the weight-to-power ratio of the bike. The Multistrada V4 S Sport is fitted with this accessory as a standard.
That of Ducati and Akrapovic is a success story born in 2014 with the project linked to the Ducati 1199 Panigale, continuing with the creation of a series of exhaust systems capable of making the performance attitude of Ducati motorcycles even more extreme.
The racing exhaust unit and the type approved silencer can be purchased in all Ducati dealers.
On Ducati.com there is also the section dedicated to the configurator where customers can view the accessories mounted on the different models of the Multistrada V4.
Ducati unveils new XDiavel and Ducati Scrambler versions for 2021

The journey to discover the new Ducati 2021 range continues with the second episode of the Ducati World Premiere web series revealing the latest news about the two XDiavel and Ducati Scrambler families. Two worlds very distant from each other, but which share an essential trait: a unique, distinctive, and nonconformist personality.
XDiavel is a cruiser with Ducati genes ; the result of the contamination bet ween two apparently distant universes. The relaxed pace at low speed typical of the Cruiser world and the adrenaline of Ducati's own sporty riding both find space in this elegant, technological and fun bike.
For 2021 Ducati renews the XDiavel range by introducing two new versions: XDiavel Dark and XDiavel Black Star. In addition, all XDiavel models become Euro 5, gaining 8 hp and 0.2 kgm in maximum power and torque values, with a smoother delivery curve.
XDiavel Dark enhances the beauty of the Ducati cruiser shapes thanks to the essentiality of the matt black colour. On the XDiavel Dark, the total black livery has also been extended to the mechanical components, plates, and finishes, enhancing one of Ducati's design principles: “Reduce to the Max”. The XDiavel Dark represents purity, essentiality, and the gateway to the XDiavel world.
The new XDiavel Black Star version, on the other hand, shows enthusiasts the sporty side of the Ducati cruiser, with a livery and equipment inspired by the world of sports cars. The dedicated livery alternates matt grey and black with inevitable touches of red. The colour cuts are clear and intersect, taking up the concept of the X that characterizes the family. On this bike, no detail has been overlooked: the red engine head covers are a reminder of the 100% Ducati soul, while the seat, enriched with a high-grip suede fabric, recalls the sportiness of the brand.
After having already previewed the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO, the entry-level model to the 1100 range, proposed in “Dark Stealth” colour with round mirrors and natural brushed aluminium finishes, the Ducati Scrambler brand now also unveils the other innovations for 2021.
The 800 range of the “Land of Joy” is expanded with the arrival of the new Ducati Scrambler Nightshift model, the introduction of a new Desert Sled version with “Sparking Blue” livery and even more off-road details and finally a new colour scheme for the Icon model.
The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is an essential bike with a bold character, inspired by the metropolitan world. This model, with classic lines and dark colours that evoke the atmosphere of the night, is characterized by a straight and narrow handlebar with café racer mirrors. The number plates and the absence of a rear mudguard in full throttle style give the bike a more aggressive touch and make it visually compact. The bike is also equipped with a new flat two-seat saddle, comfortable for both rider and passenger.
The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled changes its look with the adoption of the new “Sparking Blue” livery, enriched with red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards and gold rims, a tribute to the Enduro bikes of the ‘80s. The new anti-slip lining for the seat, together with the 200mm fork travel and headlight mesh guard as standard underline its true off-road character.
Finally, the unmistakable Ducati Scrambler Icon in 2021 will also arrive in dealerships in “Ducati Red” colour, which goes alongside the classic “62 Yellow” with black frame and black seat.
For the MY21 also all the bikes of the Ducati Scrambler brand become compliant with the EURO 5 norm that regulates the emission of pollutants, moreover the 800 range of the “Land of Joy” is available in a depowered version compatible with A2 licenses.
XDiavel Dark is already available at Ducati dealers. XDiavel Black Star and Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled will be available from the end of November and Ducati Scrambler Nighshift from December. Finally, the Ducati Scrambler Icon in “Ducati Red” will be available in dealerships from the end of January.

Ducati has unveiled the new Multistrada V4 to the world during the first episode of the Ducati World Première web series.
The Multistrada has a name that alone encapsulates an ambitious promise to keep: the ability to offer great versatility. In fact, it was born with the intention of being a sporty yet comfortable motorcycle, able to tackle any road condition, asphalt or dirt road, with safety and solidity.
In 18 years, over 110,000 units have been produced and since its inception in 2003 it has been able to evolve, expanding its scope of use. The first Multistrada was a sports bike, with good torque and mainly suitable for road use. The 2010 version was the first “four bikes in one”, the first bike in the world with Riding Mode. In 2015, however, the first engine equipped with variable timing was presented, which improved the smoothness of delivery.
The fourth generation of Multistrada is an even more performing bike, but still easier to ride. More robust and at the same time lighter. More versatile and comfortable, but effective in all riding conditions. In other words, Ducati wanted the Multistrada V4 to be the best “Multi” ever. In short, more Multistrada than ever.

The Multistrada V4 is “Sport” because it is light and compact, has 170 hp, electronic MotoGP aids and a chassis with agile dimensions for an exciting and effective ride on mixed terrain. It is “Touring” thanks to the main maintenance intervals set every 60,000 km, to the obsessive attention paid in the development phase to ride comfort, to the Radar systems (the first motorcycle in the world to have both front and rear), to the map navigator that can be viewed on the dashboard and to the cornering lights. It is “Enduro” thanks to excellent off-road capabilities, electronic suspension, smooth delivery, and gear ratios. It is “Urban” because it guarantees great ease of use at low speeds, but also thanks to smartphone connectivity and a careful study of thermal comfort. This explains why dominating all the roads has never been so easy.
The design work done on the Multistrada V4 is extremely functional to its technical spirit and has given rise to a solid, robust, yet refined aesthetic result. Ducati designers have worked on the proportions and compactness of the motorcycle body within the wheelbase, to favour the perfect combination of form and function. This fact is immediately noticeable by the predominant volumes on the front with muscular but sexy lines to integrate the 22-litre tank, combined with the slim rear that allows an optimal riding position even when standing in off-road sections. The study of the aerodynamic flows was aimed at guaranteeing the maximum possible comfort for the rider.
The engine is the real beating heart of this bike: the V4 Granturismo. Lightweight (66.7 kg) and compact, it has a lot of punch but proves to be exceptionally smooth and fluid at low revs, with a lot of backbone in the mid-range and exciting at high revs. The V4 Granturismo has a displacement of 1,158 cc and delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 125 Nm (12.7 kgm) at 8,750 rpm. In addition, adopting this engine allows for a significant lengthening of maintenance intervals: on the Multistrada V4 the oil change is scheduled every 15,000 km, while valve clearance check and eventual adjustment is required every 60,000 km. No bike in production goes that far.
The electronic package of the Multistrada V4 is the state of the art in the motorcycle sector for safety, comfort, performance, and connectivity. The inertial platform (IMU) manages the operation of ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), here in “cornering” version and, on the Multistrada V4 S, the Cornering Lights (DCL).
Also standard on the Multistrada V4 S is Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), which makes it easy to restart on sloping roads. On the Multistrada V4 S, the inertial platform also communicates continuously with the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with Autoleveling function.

With the Multistrada V4, Ducati also introduces an absolute first in the world of motorcycles: the revolutionary front and rear radar system, which allows the use of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Radars are advanced auxiliary systems that Ducati has developed together with a top-level technological partner such as Bosch and are able to support and make riding more comfortable thanks to the ability to reconstruct the reality surrounding the bike.
The Multistrada V4 is equipped with an aluminium monocoque frame,19-inch front wheel and double-sided swingarm, capable of accommodating spoked wheels. It has a limited wheelbase (1,567 mm), a sporty front end, suspension with large travel (170 mm front wheel and 180 mm rear wheel), ground clearance of 220 mm and a dry weight of 215 kg. All this allows the Multistrada V4 to be intuitive and effective around the corners like a real Ducati and at the same time easy to ride and versatile for both on-road and off-road use.
With the aim of making long motorway journeys more comfortable, Ducati engineers paid great attention during the design and development phase to what in the automotive world is called Noise, Vibration, Harshness (NVH), or rather the measure of the general level of comfort of the vehicle.
In this sense, a careful aerodynamic study – also in the wind tunnel – was carried out to obtain the best possible protection for the rider and passenger from the air, reduce hissing noises and divert the heat coming from the engine away from the rider's legs. The result is a Plexiglas screen with a new shape, adjustable in height with a single finger, associated with two side deflectors. The shapes of the handguards and the parts most exposed to the air have been studied in detail, as well as the “sound” of the engine, which is refined but always present and with the Ducati tone. The V4 Granturismo engine also adopts the strategy of deactivating the rear bank at idle. In this way, when the bike is stopped at the traffic lights, the rear bank is deactivated (there is no combustion in the cylinders), thus improving the thermal comfort of the rider and passenger thanks to a lowering of the temperature and reducing the fuel consumption.
The Multistrada V4 has many different configuration possibilities to meet the needs of the most diverse customers. The standard V4 model is available in red and represents the version dedicated to those who love the 170 hp engine and 215 kg of weight.
The central model of the range, the V4 S, is available in “Aviator Grey” colour as well as in red. The Ducati Multistrada V4 S can be ordered with both alloy wheels and spoked wheels. For this motorcycle, Ducati has thought of a new package of configurations that can be ordered directly from the factory (Essential, Travel, Radar, Performance, Full). It is already possible to view all the configuration options in the dedicated section of the Ducati website.
The third version is the Multistrada V4 S Sport, which offers a particularly bold dedicated livery and the standard Performance package with Akrapovic exhaust and carbon front fender.
The new Ducati Multistrada V4 will be available in Ducati dealerships from the end of November.
Ducati records the best third quarter ever despite the complex global situation

Despite the complex global situation, Ducati, with 14,694 motorcycles sold, registers the best third quarter ever. In fact, September confirmed the recovery trend that began in June, with 4,468 motorcycles delivered to customers.
Since June – also thanks to the positive market trend – Ducati has started to recover the decline in performance recorded in the first months of the year, partially filling the sales gap compared to the previous year caused by the slowdowns that are affecting the whole world.
2020 is an extremely complex year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ducati, putting the safety of its employees first, immediately adopted all the necessary preventive measures (smart working and production stop of six weeks right at the peak of the season), reacting in a fast and flexible way to the changes imposed by the pandemic.
The Borgo Panigale motorcycle manufacturer has made the most of digital systems to continue serving its customers and fans (for example with the virtual presentation of the Streetfighter V4 and the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO). Since April, the Company introduced a dedicated protocol – the Ducati Cares program – so that Ducatisti could return to visit their trusted Ducati dealers around the world in complete safety, or digitally interact to book an appointment or evaluate the purchase of a motorcycle remotely.
Smart working and digital events to protect security first. Themes that, with the progressive worsening of the situation, are taking up space again in Borgo Panigale. In fact, the unveil of the 2021 Ducati Model Year will take place online, with a new format with episodes every Wednesday from 4 November to 2 December.
“Although 2020 is a stormy year, the third quarter recorded the most positive performance ever,” says Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati. “Now the situation is worsening again, unfortunately just when we are about to present to the world the new models for 2021, on which we have worked continuously despite the difficulties introduced by the pandemic. Once again we are forced to redefine working methods and processes in order to maintain a high level of attention to the safety of our employees, suppliers and operators. Digital presentations, use of smart working and video meetings, access into the company only when strictly necessary. All with the aim of serving Ducatisti all over the world in the safest possible way.”
Ducatisti that today can count on a global sales network of about 730 dealers and service points in almost 90 countries, including the latest openings in Rio de Janeiro, Vienna, Wolfsburg and Antwerp. Ducati Motor Holding now has a total of 1,665 employees.
“All of us are required to make a continuous effort to reconcile work needs with the safety measures defined by the internal Task Force in relation to the correct behaviour to adopt in the Company and at Ducati dealerships – added Claudio Domenicali – For this reason I would like to thank all the employees, suppliers and dealers who, in such unpredictable times, continue to react quickly to market demands and to adapt in a timely and attentive way to the situation that evolves daily.”
For 2021 the Streetfighter V4 range becomes Euro 5 and the new 'Dark Stealth' colour scheme is added

- New Dark Stealth colour scheme for the Streetfighter V4 S, available in dealerships before the end of 2020
- Starting from 2021, the entire Ducati Streetfighter V4 range becomes compliant with the Euro 5 anti-pollution legislation
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 23 October – For 2021 Ducati presents the Streetfighter V4 S in a new Dark Stealth colour scheme, which joins the sporty Ducati Red. Furthermore, all models in the Ducati Streetfighter V4 range become compliant with the Euro 5 anti-pollution legislation in all countries where it is in force.
The Streetfighter is the result of the “Fight Formula”: the Panigale V4 stripped of the fairings, with a high and wide handlebar, 178 kg on the scale, powered by 1100 cc Desmosedici Stradale delivering 208 hp kept in hand by biplane wings and a complete electronic package. The modern and technological Ducati naked bike has immediately enjoyed great success among motorcyclists all over the world, also confirmed by the positive feedback from the international media.
Dark Stealth is a matt black colour that represents the perfect chromatic choice to show the aggressive side of the ultra-naked Ducati.
With the arrival of 2021, all the bikes in the Ducati Streetfighter V4 range become compliant with the Euro 5 anti-pollution regulations, maintaining maximum power and torque values ??unchanged, but repositioned at different engine speeds. The Streetfighter V4 Euro 5 has a power output of 208 hp (153 kW) at 13,000 rpm (250 rpm higher than the EURO 4 version) and a torque of 12.5 Kgm (123 Nm) at 9,500 rpm (2,000 rpm lower than the EURO 4 version). These values, obtained thanks to a new calibration and the new exhaust, make the bike even more enjoyable on winding roads.
To comply with the new European standard on polluting emissions, various modifications have been made to the Desmosedici Stradale exhaust line and to the engine calibration.
The silencer, unchanged from an aesthetic point of view, uses larger catalysts (+10 mm in length) and with a new technology of impregnation of noble metals, essential for maximising the ability to convert polluting gases. The lengths and dimensions of the exhaust primaries of the rear bank have been optimised to minimize the ignition time of the catalytic converter, while maintaining engine performance unchanged.
Compared to the Euro 4 models, the manifolds of the rear bank have been shortened by 100 mm and reduced in diameter, going from 42 mm to 38 mm. The new component allowed the introduction of a more compact rear heat shield integrated into the body of the bike. Always with the aim of limiting emissions is the introduction of 4 lambda probes, one for each cylinder, which allow a more refined control of the amount of injected fuel.
All Streetfighter V4 models in the 2021 range are fitted with new front brake and clutch pumps, both self-bleeding and derived from those used for the first time on the Superleggera V4. The body of the new pumps has been designed with a configuration that allows a ‘natural’ bleeding, thus eliminating the need to intervene on the system in the event of air present in the circuit.
The entire Streetfighter V4 range for 2021, including the Dark Stealth colour scheme for the “S” version, can already be ordered in Ducati dealers, with the 'Dark Stealth' version available before the end of 2020 at an SRP of £20,295.

Ducati and MT Distribution present a new line of folding e-bikes
- The range of Ducati electric mobility products is now extended
- Three new Ducati and Ducati Scrambler branded models developed by the Centro Stile Ducati, which has collaborated with Italdesign on the Urban-E version
- Ducati folding e-bikes distributed under license by MT Distribution are available on the market since July
After the success of the electric scooters, Ducati and MT Distribution, licensee and commercial partner, present three new models of folding bicycles with pedal assistance.
The folding e-bike line, born from the partnership between Ducati and MT Distribution, is designed for those who want to move around the city without compromising on style and comfort and is made up of three models: Urban-E, under the Ducati brand, and SCR -E and SCR-E Sport, dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler world.
As for the scooters, considerable attention has been paid to design in the development of the e-bikes, for which the Centro Stile Ducati was responsible. For the Urban-E model, Ducati designers collaborated with Italdesign, to propose a unique model of its kind, with customized components characterized by an original and distinctive style.
The two folding e-bike models dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler “Land of Joy” are available on the market since July, while the Ducati branded e-bike will be available to buy from October.
SCR-E is one of two pedal-assisted bicycle models made with the Ducati Scrambler brand. The fat wheels 20'' x 4'' allow riders to travel with full grip even on rough or off-road sections. The 374.4 Wh battery is fully integrated into the frame and, when fully charged, allows to travel up to 70 km. The frame is in aluminium and is equipped with a deluxe handle with easy-folding technology for a simple and quick closure of the vehicle. The rear lights are integrated into the seat post to maintain a clean and attractive aesthetic line. The LCD display is of the latest generation and mounts a twilight sensor for the automatic switching on of the lights and the detection of the external temperature.
SCR-E SPORT is the sportiest evolution of the SCR-E model, also branded Ducati Scrambler. The full suspension model is equipped with a double shock absorber: front fork and rear spring shock integrated in the frame. The single wall alloy wheels and road tyres give the model a refined and sporty appearance. The enhanced 468 Wh battery is fully integrated into the chassis and can travel up to 80 km.
Urban-E , available in black or grey, is built around the special aluminium frame with easy-folding locking system created by the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with colleagues from Italdesign's Industrial Design division. The handlebar has a fully integrated LCD display in the stem that allows the rider to control all the assistance functions, to check the remaining battery charge and to turn the LED lights integrated in the frame on and off. Designers and developers have worked together to create an e-bike with a clean and linear style. The 378 Wh battery is integrated into the frame and becomes an element of style itself, recalling the motorbike fuel tanks in its typical Ducati red colour and curved shape. The suspension fork, the fat 20″ x 4″ tyres with Kevlar anti-puncture technology mounted on double wall aluminium rims and the rear mudguard, in addition to accentuating the racing style, ensure maximum riding comfort, even on the most irregular of surfaces.

The #raceagainstCovid fundraising initiative organized by Ducati to support the Policlinico di S.Orsola in Bologna draws to a close

The #raceagainstCovid fundraising initiative launched by Ducati at the beginning of May has ended, collecting more than 170,000 euros. The donations will go towards the rehabilitation programs that the Polyclinic of S.Orsola in Bologna has developed and implemented for patients recovering after Covid-19 infection.
The fundraising was opened by the members of Ducati Board of management and the employees of Borgo Panigale and subsidiaries worldwide. The amount raised initially was doubled by the Company and represented the starting point for international fundraising. Many donations from various parts of the world were then added, with the participation of the riders and the large Ducati family: DOC, dealers, suppliers, partners and enthusiasts, all happy to play their part in this important charity project.
The French artist Jisbar also contributed to the final result, creating and donating a pop-art painting entitled “Ducati Mona Lisa”, and recently sold at auction by Cambi Casa d'Aste for the sum of 5,500 euros, which was added to the total proceeds.
The sum collected through the #raceagainstCovid is now in the hands of the Policlinico di S. Orsola in Bologna, which will use it with to purchase the specific instrumentation to meet the diagnostic needs of patients undergoing rehabilitation therapy following Covid-19 infection. In particular, further ultrasound technologies will be implemented to allow the execution of tests that are not invasive or harmful to the patient. Specifically, with the funds obtained, an internal ultrasound scanner, a cardiac ultrasound scanner and six ultrasound scanners with wireless probe will be purchased.
Ducati has always been an active part of its territory, characterized internationally for the Motor Valley of two and four-wheel ‘masterpieces’, but also for its excellent medical facilities. The Emilia-Romagna Region was in fact the national hub for the treatment of Covid-19.
Ducatisti from all over the world are very attached to this land, which has always hosted the factory where the Ducati bikes are built, and they have also demonstrated it on this occasion.
